Several years ago, Pat and Brenda retired to Florida, feeling their days in NY were behind them. Soon thereafter, they decided to buy a cottage on Seneca Lake, where their family has a history since 1930. The plan was to visit Seneca Lake for 2 months a year and live in Florida - live in shorts year around. After buying their cottage, they discovered that the motel was for sale. Because of it's beautiful and scenic setting, the motel aroused great interest. The decision was made to "go for it". They immediately had a vision for the motel to create a southern cottage style decor [Brenda is from Savannah, Georgia and is a gifted decorator] - to make it unique - to create a very comfortable and relaxed place reminiscent of places in the south in the early 1900's.
Over the next year and a half, the existing Castle Point Motel was painstakingly redone as envisioned, including completely redoing and upgrading the water sytem, the heating, electric and plumbing, and adding air conditioning. The result is a very charming and peaceful place, renamed The Savannah House Inn.
Their vision includes further improvements, including large glass enclosed porch with outside deck, charming individual cottages in the same decor, a conference/entertainment center, and a spa. The Savannah House may one day also include an Artists Village.

Pat and Brenda have 6 children and 14 grandchildren. They live at Seneca Lake year around, and personally run the Savannah House, thus assuring the highest level of service and cleanliness. Pat and Brenda have redone a number of interesting buildings, including the old Tally Ho Theater in Leesburg, Va in 2002. They also own an awesome old mansion near the lake, built in the early 1800's, and which they plan to renovate into a spectacular bed & breakfast in the near future, to be known as The Inn of Wine & Roses.

The Hokes look forward to welcoming their guests to The Savannah House Inn, and providing a first class visit!
